Why Do I Burp So Much

If you want to know why you burp so much, you should consider your diet. Your diet consists of food and drinks which you consume, each of which might be more difficult than the other to consume. If you consume beverages which are high in carbonation, such as soft drinks, then you will burp more often than normal. If you are chewing with your mouth open, then your body will swallow lots of air which it needs to expel. This air is what comes out when you burp.

When your body gets rid of the toxins left over from the food you consume, it is through solid form or gaseous form. When your body is digesting food and expelling gaseous toxins it has one of two directions. It can expel them outward from your GI tract, or upward through your esophagus.

When you burp, it is your body removing the gaseous toxins. If you want to know “why do I burp so much” that is why. There is a small flap, more or less, which stops any stomach acid from traveling upward through your esophagus to your mouth, but when there is a build up of gas in your GI tract, it might expand and push upward, placing pressure on this flap which then opens enough for your body to expel the air upward from your esophagus and mouth. This is a burp. If you are eating foods rich in oils or fats then you will burp more often than normal. If you consume drinks which are high in carbonation you will also burp more often than normal. So if you want to know “why do I burp so much” you can generally attribute it to your body trying to digest your foods and drinks and expelling the gaseous toxins.
